Philou de bo Z in a 6 year old mare by the talented Pegase van ‘t ruytershof who is one of the great promises of his generation, both in sport and in breeding. The stallion is currently being successfully competed under the Belgian rider Jeroen de Winter. Father Comme Il Faut performed at the highest level under the saddle of Marcus Ehning. Mother Gianthina van’t Ruytershof is also mother of the Grand-Prix stallion Jilbert van’t Ruytershof.
Philou is bred out of a mare by the legendary Kannan. This stallion has been at the top of the WBFSH world rankings for years for show jumping horses.
Philou is slowly trained and shows all the best characteristics to become a serious showjumping prospect. She has participated in competitions up to 120 level but her scope, mentality and character are promising a lot more. She is a comfortable horse to ride, very brave and eager to learn. Philou was never hurried or competed too high and is slowly and carefully trained to get the best out of her. It is clear to see that she has all the potential and the ability to make it happen. We didn’t find yet a spooky jump to impress her even a little bit and will always get you on the other side. The bigger the jumps get, the more scope you feel. She prefers a rider with soft hands that doesn’t override as she gets a little hot if you try to make her do something rather than to teach her how to. Very attractive looking mare, a nice model, perfect for the requirements of the modern sport. Fast in front with a natural good back-end, she is a pleasure to have in the stables. Kind, easy to handle, great jumping technique with no bad traits.
