El Barone 111 is one of the most sought after stallions in Europe with results up to international 5* 160 sections under Malin Baryard Johnson and Jens Fredricson. El Barone 111 was at the top of the prestigious Belgian stallions competition as a four -year -old, five -year -old and six -year -old, and was flawless in all his international starts as a six -year -old. In 2019, due to the big question as a breeding stallion, he gained little in participation in international competitions. Nevertheless, he finished second in the overall standings of the Belgian stallion competition for 7 years and started his international career to CSI2* 140. In 2020 the positive line was continued with solid results and victories to CSI3* 140. Malin Baryard-Johnson became the new rider of Barone in 2021. 2022 took over the reins. El Barone 111 and Jens have had a successful start to their collaboration, with placements in the autumn of 2023 in both Helsinki and Oslo. El Barone 111 has a huge jumping power, balance and spectacular technology. His strong canter and driving skills, combined with his desire always to jump clearly, make him a modern sports horse. Descendants The first offspring of El Barone are highly appreciated by both breeders and auctioneers. Those who are now under the saddle have shown good promises as future jumping horses and he already has several approved sons. In March 2024 he already has 14 approved sons in studbooks throughout Europe and his first offspring enter the international arena.
His father Emerald and Dutch rider Harry Smolders have an exceptional career in international jumping sport and are an anchor for the Dutch national team. Team medals from the Olympic Games, World Cup finals, GCT and countless 5-star Grand Prix tops are among their performance. As a breeding stallion, Emerald has passed on his jumping construction several times. From his first -year foals in 2008, the approved stallion I’m Special de Muze and the young spring star Igor, driven by Jos Verlooy. Many international Grand Prix horses such as Butterfly PS, Nobility PS and Diamanthina van`t Ruytershof come from the Emerald line. His mother Naktibro successfully jumped at 150-spring level and is the sister of two approved stallions, including Guidam Sohn. His mother’s father Libero H with Jos Lansink in the saddle was known worldwide in sport and one of the fathers of modern jumping horses. Libero H won countless World Cup qualifying competitions and then won the World Cup final in 1994. He achieved the highest award that a stallion can get in terms of quality “preferent”. The preference predicate is granted when a stallion shows excellence compared to other stallions in terms of movement, jumping and exterior characteristics of his descendants. And brought many Grand Prix horses such as Castle Forbes Libertina (Jessica Kürten), No Mercy (Christina Liebherr), Castle Forbes Maike (Jessica Kürten). Libero H is also the father of the KPWN approved stallion Ustinov, who became KPWN championship in 2004. In the third generation, breeding Zeus, who left countless top sport horses and approved stallions. El Barone is approved at SWB, BWP, SF and Zangersheide – free from WFFS.
