Bombproof 7 year old welsh gelding
For sale is our sweet, handsome 7-year-old Welsh B pedigree cream (palomino) dream pony with a long mane who also appeared as a 3-year-old photo model in Penny magazine.
Feerwerder Lord Shane, height at the withers 133cm (officially measured) was born on March 17, 2018.
Mother: Bronheulog Sarah Jane (STAR predicate)
Father: Cadlanvalley Landlord
Lineage
Cadlanvalley Landlord is a son of the well-breeding Boston Bonaparte, who topped the sire ratings, or points list, in 2006. He is from Varndell Right Royal and goes back to Downland Chevalier via Downland Mandarin.
Landlord’s mother is Cadlanvalley Painted Lady, the last daughter of the very famous black pearl Weston Louisa, the most expensively sold B mare at the Weston auction in 1979 and very successful in both the show ring and breeding. It is interesting to mention that both the father’s and mother’s lines have already produced some good riding ponies.
Jury report CHK 2009
Cadlanvalley Landlord was approved as a three-year-old during the CHK 2009 and took 2nd place.
An imposing palomino where nobility is accompanied by more than sufficient movement. Landlord is a purebred stallion, has a beautiful head, but could be a little stronger in the topline. With the approval of this stallion, the interesting Weston bloodlines also become available for Dutch breeding.
Feerwerder Lord Shane is bombproof for heavy traffic (tractor, truck, shovel, crane, chopper). He enjoys going out alone. He is also used to going to jumping and dressage club lessons in the dark in the winter alone or in a group with a reflective blanket and flashing lights along the road. He behaves well in club class. He doesn’t kick other strange ponies that pass near him. They also rode four or six with him in class.
Pony always wants to work and is almost never tired while driving. He loves attention and always comes right when you call him.
He loves being washed and brushed by children. He waits patiently. He has a long mane that children can easily braid.
He can be saddled by small children. He will never bite or kick. When he uses the bit he automatically opens his mouth.
Pony is healthy and can also be left without a fly blanket or eczema blanket in the summer.
To be on the safe side, he only wears a halter with a UV nose mask in the summer to protect his pink nose from sunburn.
He is used to a walk-in stable with us. It was kept in the stable at night by the previous owner. He has no stable vices.
Beginners can enjoy a bixie competition with him.
He is classified L1 + 1 WP dressage and has practice course experience in 60/70 cm jumping. He is ridden with a simple bit (loose snaffle) for dressage and jumping. Pony can also be ridden bitless with a neckrope.
He enjoys all exercises with fear training. He also enjoys swimming with the rider.
Children can only lunge him.
Children can also do vaulting on him. Nothing is too crazy for him. He has been used as a riding and vaulting pony at several children’s parties. He will never put a wrong step with small children and beginners.
Why do we want to sell this top pony?
Our pony is actually over. It is hardly ridden by our own children. At the moment, permanent caregivers between the ages of 11 and 16 ride this pony at our home and in club lessons.
Our eldest daughter has been given a D pony and our daughter, who has just turned 9, does not want to ride in competitions for the time being and does not want to say goodbye to her B pony yet.
For an advanced rider it is very easy to ride. He has a stable support and does not shake his head. If you hold the reins a little longer, he will be calm, but if you take them a little shorter, he will become more enthusiastic. In a low course he is calm, if you want to jump a little higher with him, he becomes enthusiastic and requires a stronger rider to keep him under control with a simple loose snaffle. At this point the pony is used to being ridden approximately 4 times a week.
Pony has not run with us
n. I expect that he would be able to pick this up quickly as he likes to lead the way and as he is a smooth pony and is not easily scared of anything.
Pony walks onto the trailer without any problems and can be loaded independently by children.
He is very good at the farrier. He has always walked without shoes with us. He has strong hooves, they do not wear out very quickly when going on road trips.
Pony is social towards other ponies. He gets along well with everyone, but makes sure he doesn’t fall short himself. He is also neat with his blankets. He doesn’t destroy his own blanket and he doesn’t destroy other ponies’ blankets either.
We have now made the choice to sell this sweet pony, as we have too many ponies and it would otherwise be too busy. We are in no hurry to sell and we definitely want this golden pony to find a good home.
We have many videos and photos of this fantastic pony. Feel free to send a personal message for more information.
Accessories (saddle, bridle, blankets, etc.) can also be purchased at an additional cost.
