We are looking for a 5-star house for our dear Joey:
Due to a transition to horses and an (abroad) internship, we are looking for a new place for our Joey: an incredibly sweet, stable and well-behaved pony of 1.54, born in 2009.
We have had it since 2016, my daughter started using it in the pixie at the age of 8. She has now trained him to M1 dressage and he is M2 eligible (+16), and has almost always been selected for the regional championships.
Joey has run for several seasons as a stable (head) pony in the foursome (2024 2nd region, 2nd National Championships), also under a guest rider, and with her he has again managed to be selected for the regional championships in L1 dressage this indoor season.
Joey has regularly participated in jumping competitions and practice crosses, but he does need a confident rider when the going gets a bit higher. He hops around lower obstacles with riders of all levels: my youngest daughter never rides, but just steers around with it.
He likes to go outside (alone or in a group), goes out of the yard easily, and is super good along the way: my daughter sends him bareback through the water crossing in our woods. Even though it is so well-behaved, you can certainly gallop through the woods (or on the beach) with it!
Joey is good in the stable and in the meadow, in handling, at the blacksmith, at the vet, good at loading and likes to cuddle. He doesn’t know how to buck or prance and is hardly impressed by anything. He likes his routine and likes to go to the stable for a nap before 11 p.m. in the evening.
We would like to see him end up with a rider who would like to have a great time on the pony, but due to his height he is also very suitable for a smaller adult.
