Ridley is a nice and reliable all-round pony. It is a 10 year old mare of the New Forest breed with a shoulder height of 1.47.5 m.
We have owned Ridley for 4 years now, she is for sale due to transition to horses.
It is a down-to-earth pony and will not easily be shocked or impressed by anything. This makes her very nice to ride in an indoor and outdoor arena and also on an outdoor ride.
During competitions she jumps 90 cm and during training at home or at the club she jumps 1 m or a bit higher. She has competed at L1 level in dressage, but the rider’s passion lies more with jumping. We go to club lessons twice a week, including 1x jumping and 1x dressage. In total she is ridden 4 to 5 times a week, with a lesser frequency per week she is just as well behaved.
She really enjoys outdoor rides. We have also done cross training a number of times and we noticed that she enjoyed it a lot and did not shy away from anything. She enjoys driving through the water. So she would certainly be suitable for someone who wants to continue racing with her. She also rides bareback. She never gets too excited, so you can always get her back to a pace you want. She does need you to drive her consistently and with conviction, so that she stays on task. She certainly wants to work for you.
It is a stable pony, you should not expect any crazy tricks from her. We sell her with a custom-made saddle and some accessories.
