Very sweet young dressage gelding for sale
Raffael is a 4 year old gelding of approximately 1.70m tall. He is a descendant of the very good stallion Le Formidable. His mother’s father is the stallion Trafalgar, who is a descendant of the famous stallion Totilas. He has the character of both father and mother and is really very nice.
Raffael is a cuddly toy, loves to be brushed and is very social towards people and animals. It is absolutely not flashy and easy to use with the blacksmith. In addition, he also walks very easily onto the trailer, both alone and with someone else.
He has not yet been on strange terrain under saddle, but we really don’t expect any problems with this. He walks across the yard here on a long rein and is used to young children / barking dogs and trucks and does not pay attention to this. Under saddle he still needs some clarity every now and then.
He was saddle broken last year. It stood still during the winter. He was then arrested again in May and was completely free again from the end of July until about 2 weeks ago due to the birth of our first child. He has now been back at work for 2 weeks and is doing very well. He has even competed on beams before and he also really enjoyed that.
Raffael has a very good walk, a powerful trot and a very nice and long canter. He shows that he can walk uphill very well. You can ride him simply, but for a fanatical dressage rider you can also make him sharper and he shows a lot of quality. As a 3 year old, Raffael was fully approved by the breeder, including back and neck, without any comments. In addition, he was fully approved again last spring, including back and neck, at the Lingehoeve in Lienden. He has a 3 out of 7 on his back. Which is completely within all margins and has therefore been approved. (Notes that sometimes cause confusion with the classification of the other joints, classes 1 to 5). Are there any further details or the like? The horse also stands very correctly on its legs.
